There’s almost nothing more irritating that trying to login to your computer and being confronted with an error message. Bad External Hard Drive

Troubleshooting this cause of your I/O error is very easy. Disconnect it from your computer and restart – it everything turns on fine then that was probably the cause of your error.
A Virus
Viruses are getting nastier and nastier these days. Some of them turn your computer into a mindless drone. Some are just out to take your personal information or just wreak havoc on your computer’s operating system. Some symptoms of a computer virus before the error could be a change in your home page, a change in your search provider or excessive unwanted pop-ups. If you see any of these symptoms prior to the error message it’s best to shut off your computer and call a computer technician to troubleshoot and remove the problem.
